Who
is
Julie
Williams?

This is a picture of Cooper and me.

I was born December 21, 1979, about an hour outside of Cleveland Ohio. In the summer of 1985, My family and I moved to Coppell, TX, a suburb of Dallas.

As a child I spent most of my time outside playing every type of sport there is with the neighborhood kids. I never missed a season of soccer. I played all positions but enjoyed playing keeper the most. I played soccer for my high school my freshman and sophomore years then my interests changed thanks to some broken ribs and the poor coaching staff there. I then joined a youth group and became very involved in all their weekley activities. I also enjoyed mountain biking on the weekends with some of my friends in the youth group.

My Dad, who was fed up with the corporate world, moved my family to Naples, FL to open up his own business my senior year of high school. He owns a company that instals Epicore, which is a special type of flooring they use in Florida that very sturdy and made to withstand hurricanes. I did not move with my family, I stayed here in TX instead and lived with my neighbors so I could graduate with my senior class. During my last year of high school I got a job as a carhop at Sonic and had little time to do any outside activities.

After graduation I stayed in TX. I attended North Lake College for two years and worked. There, I completed most of my basics and learned that I had a love and talent for art. I then transferred to Texas Christian University.   I graduated in December, 2003 with a BFA in studio art with an emphasis on printmaking. My artwork tends to be somewhat abstract and I have recientley turned my focus on creating digital works of art using photoshop.  I hope to use my computer graphic skills I learned at TCU to become a graphic designer.

After graduation, I started graduate school at International College in Naples, FL.  After only one year, I earned my Masters of Science in Information Systems Management.  It was the most intense year ever.  I was playing the guitar every chance I got and I worked two different jobs durring this time, the first one was an internship for a medical billing company in Fort Myers called Apollo Information Services.  I then returned back to my artistic roots working as a custom artist for a small privatley owned business called Painted Perfection.  After graduation I got my first job out of school for an insurance company called Florida Family Insurance in Naples FL.  I am working here untill sometime in August which is when I plan to move back to Dallas/Fort Worth.

I am now trying to find the right spot in the world for me.  Since I have spent my entire life in school since I was 3 untill the day before I turned 25, it has taken some time to adjust.  I cannot wait untill all of my hard work pays off.  I hope to end up working for a company that can let me put my interesting combination of artistic, creative and technology skills to good use.  I am now also an aspiring rock star.  I am sure it will be an awesome road my life will lead me on.

I am creating this web site for family and friends. This gives them a chance to keep up to date what is happening with me. I hope they get a few laughs too. I have created another site: www.juliesartwork.com to display my portfolio and other work that I have done at school (this is very old stuff from my early days at TCU). I will keep you updated!
